Us here at Lux Eyewear have partnered with Bausch & Lomb in their ONE by ONE contact lens recycling program in our pursuit for sustainability in our industry. This is currently the only contact lens recycling program in the United States, which is made possible through a collaboration with @terracycle, a leader in the collection and recycling of hard-to-recycle post-consumer waste.
All you have to do is collect your used contact lenses, blister packs and foil tops (of any brand, not just Bausch & Lomb lenses), and drop them off to us here at our store. Aren't local? No problem! Just contact us via phone, text or email and we will issue you a prepaid shipping label to have your contact lens waste shipped directly to the recycling center.
Bonus: For every 10 pounds of materials collected, a $10 donation is made to @optometrygivingsight, a global fundraising initiative aiming to solve unnecessary blindness and vision impairment.
